Between Shores

Where memory lingers and transformation unfolds.

Before I Knew

This collection gathers the soft, fleeting moments that shape us long before we understand who we are becoming — the first friendships, the small discoveries, the quiet courage, the gentle hands that guide us. Each piece is a fragment of early memory: playful, tender, half-formed, and deeply true.

Before I Knew is an invitation to step back into those blue, dreamlike days
where love was simple, wonder was everywhere,
and the world was something we felt before we could name.

Studio Notes

October 2025

Life often asks us to keep moving forward, to grow, to adapt, to appear strong. But somewhere along the way, we lose touch with the part of us that once saw beauty in everything.

This series is about pausing long enough to listen for that voice again, the one that hums quietly beneath the noise, that remembers wonder, softness, and truth.

It’s not about going back, but about returning inward to meet the child who waited, and to realize you were never truly lost, only becoming whole.

Somewhere between who I was and who I am now,
I found traces of wonder I thought I’d lost.
They were never gone, just waiting
beneath the surface, ready to return.

Inspiration

This series was inspired by how memory lives within us, not as stories of the past, but as subtle threads woven through who we are today.

I’m fascinated by the beauty in those transitions: the spaces between certainty and possibility, logic and feeling.

Between Shores became my way of exploring that, how we hold on, let go, and return, often all at once.

The Process

What started as a plan became a conversation.

Colors shifted, forms reappeared, meanings unfolded in their own time. Each layer became a response to what the painting remembered, an ongoing dialogue between control and release, clarity and mystery.

Transformation happens when you stop forcing and start listeningm when you let joy rise, unhurried, to the surface.
