Acquisition Policy & Collector Care

At the studio of Pratima Aravabhoomi, we want you to experience complete confidence in your fine art acquisition. Because original artwork is deeply physical and relies on the relationship between texture, light, and space, we handle returns and transit care with the utmost precision.

1. The Collector Satisfaction Window

We offer a 14-day inspection window for all original paintings and drawings. If a piece does not resonate within your space as anticipated, you have 14 days from the date of physical delivery to request a return and alternative selection or refund.

To be eligible for a return, the artwork must be in its original, unaltered gallery condition and wrapped securely in its original archival packaging.

2. Initiating a Return & Secure Shipping

To begin a return coordination, please contact the studio directly at support@pratartist.com.

  • Guided Logistics: If your return is approved, we will provide you with specialized return shipping instructions and a secure courier label.

  • Unauthorized Returns: Due to the high value and delicate nature of fine art, items sent back to the studio without prior written coordination and approval cannot be accepted or insured.

  • Return Logistics Costs: Unless a piece arrives damaged, the collector is responsible for the cost of return shipping and ensuring the work is packaged safely according to our studio guidelines.

3. Transit Damage & Visual Inspection

Every piece of art is meticulously documented, securely crated, and fully insured prior to leaving the studio.

Please inspect your artwork carefully immediately upon arrival. In the rare event that a piece arrives damaged due to transit, contact us within 24 hours of delivery at support@pratartist.com. Please include high-resolution photographs of both the damaged packaging and the affected areas of the artwork so we can immediately activate our insurance protocol and resolve the matter for you.

4. Custom Commissions & Final Sale Exclusions

Because of their deeply personal and singular nature, site-specific commissions and custom bespoke artworks are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

A Note on Exchanges: Because original fine art pieces are entirely unique, singular creations, true direct exchanges are not possible. If you wish to choose a different piece, the initial artwork will be processed as a return, and a separate acquisition can be made for the new available work in the gallery.

5. European Union 14-Day Right of Cancellation

For acquisitions shipping directly into the European Union, collectors maintain the legal right to cancel or return an order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, without justification. The artwork must still meet our standard requirements: it must be completely unaltered, in its original gallery condition, and housed in its original packaging.

6. Refunds & Settlement Processing

Once the studio receives, inspects, and verifies the pristine condition of the returned artwork, we will send you a confirmation email.

Approved refunds will be processed automatically back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that your private banking institution or credit card company may require additional processing time to post the credit to your account. If more than 15 business days have passed since our studio approval and you have not received your credit, please contact us at support@pratartist.com.
